The RTI project implemented Math Intervention to students for improving their mathematics ability. The Tier II and Tier III students in the group differ according to the need of the skill development in math. Lower group in all grades are struggling with number identification, naming numbers and the place value at their level.

- Instructional materials for Tier II and Tier III students receiving interventions focus intensely on in-depth treatment of numbers
- Intervention materials helped the students to work with visual representations of mathematical ideas
- Instruction during the intervention was explicit and systematic using Concrete- Representational â€“Abstract strategy. This include problem solving, guided practice and corrective feedback
- Drill and practice for Math addition and subtraction

The intervention was focused on two areas: Concept and application and Computation based on their curriculum in the schools.
