About Us

RTI network is a professional platform for successful inclusion, The Department of Special Education, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women – University received the prestigious Indo-US 21st Century Knowledge Initiative Award 2013 with the grant amount of Rs. 1.5 crore for a period of three years starting from Aug 2013- 2016.

The university collaborated with the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA in the project titled, A Sustainable Response to Intervention Model for Successful Inclusion of Children with Disabilities- A India –US Partnership. The RTI is a systematic process to help teachers tailor their instruction to students who are struggling academically. The project was implanted for three and half years, and the project team tailored evidence based RTI approach in Indian context. This forum is developed to disseminate knowledge on sustainable Response to Intervention Model.

RTI Network committed to sensitize and educate people to access Response To Intervention Model. Our aim is to lead various professionals in the field of education to implement Response to Intervention in their School, District and Nation wide.

It ensures each child has access to quality instruction including those struggling in academics are identified early and receive the necessary supports to be successful.
